Program Overview

In this course, students will develop their skills in digital media and design by exploring the creation and manipulation of various types of digital content while covering a range of digital media topics, including digital illustration, graphic design, photo editing, audio editing, and video production using industry-standard software tools. Work-based learning experiences allow students to communicate and convey their ideas effectively through digital media, work collaboratively by sharing ideas and skills with their peers, and receive constructive feedback from their teacher, members of our community, and local business owners . In addition, they will learn to apply critical thinking skills to analyze and evaluate digital media content, including issues related to copyright, fair use, and intellectual property. By the end of the course, students will have developed a strong foundation in digital media and design, and will be well-equipped to pursue further study in this exciting and rapidly-evolving field.
