Program Overview

This program emphasizes marketing, sales, distribution, merchandising, entrepreneurship, and management. Coursework explores ownership and management of enterprises engaged in marketing. The goals of the program are to develop competent workers for the major occupational areas within marketing, and to promote understanding of the wide range of social and economic responsibilities that accompany the right to engage in marketing in a free enterprise system. Related occupations include small business owner, labor market analysis/research, salesperson, service clerk, cashier, insurance agent, public relations specialist, sales manager, and wholesale and retail buyer.
